Budwig diet was created by Dr. Johanna Budwig who was a German biochemist that specialized in lipid chemistry. She found a unique feature of all types of cancerous cells – solid fatty masses which are not present in healthy or normal cells.

She figured a cancer can be cured after this solid fat mass is dissolved. She believed that the solid fat mass exist because there is no enough liquid oil to dissolve it. So she promoted a diet (Budwig diet) consisting of cottage cheese/quark (or fermented yogurt) and flaxseed oil to treat cancer.

Believe it or not, this approach works for many cancer patients. It was reported that she had treated more than 2500 patients and most of them benefited from this diet.

This book presents three lectures she gave, which gives readers her ideas about cancer and her approach. However, this book does not talk too much about the so called Budwig diet which many cancer patients use to treat their cancers.

There are a lot of misinformation about Budwig diet. Some is designed to mislead others, and some are innocent. Some comment from somewhere.  The truth is that the Budwig diet can help some cancer patients when used properly.  But like all other treatments, it cannot help all cancer patients.

T  he flex-seed oil is essential. Cancer patients eat too little omega 3 fatty acids!”
