Dr. Johanna Budwig was a German biochemist that specialized in lipid chemistry. She found a unique feature of all types of cancerous cells – solid fatty masses which are not present in healthy or normal cells.
She figured a cancer can be cured after this solid fat mass is dissolved. She believed that the solid fat mass exist because there is no enough liquid oil to dissolve it. So she promoted a diet (Budwig diet) consisting of cottage cheese/quark (or fermented yogurt) and flaxseed oil to treat cancer.
Believe it or not, this approach works for many cancer patients. It was reported that she had treated more than 2500 patients and most of them benefited from this diet.
